THE REASON: This group was founded on the assumption that I’m not the only omnivore in the Metro Detroit area who wants to be a smart eater and enjoys shared food and good conversation. I’ve been a “better then average” eater most of my life, but it wasn’t until reading two great books by Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food and The Omnivore’s Dilemma, that I fully realized just how terrible the “American diet” is for us, the land, and for animals. GOAL! Get Out And Live! is the premier LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) social and activity club of Michigan, offering a variety of sporting, cultural and social events to members of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, professions and fitness levels. We started as a bicycle club, Get Out Bike, and have evolved into an organization that offers outdoor activities, social gatherings, online events, dinners and dances, concerts, plays, sports and travel.

This group is for Korean expatriates, Korean Americans & Canadians (ggosigis), & non-ethnic Koreans (i.e. open to all races & ethnicities) who are interested in Korean-English language exchange as well as Korean food, Korean dramas/movies, Korean animation, K-pop, Korean sports & martial arts, Korean history, & other aspects of Korean culture.
